Helping Her Be Brave

Pregnancy Resource Center was birthed from a vision from several individuals that desired to help families that were becoming pregnant have the resources they needed to bring their babies into this world. Since opening in 1986, PRC has served over 25,000 young people facing difficult pregnancy decisions with life-affirming alternatives.

Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC) is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit ministry that provides vital medical services and support programs to families in Southeast Tennessee. We are funded totally by the contributions of individuals, businesses, foundations, and churches within the community. When you give, you are helping her make a brave life decision and have all the support she needs to welcome her sweet baby into this world.

Our Pregnancy Center is a licensed medical clinic and we provide our medical services under the direction of our volunteer medical director. Our medical services consist of pregnancy testing, limited ultrasound exams, and sexually transmitted infection testing. We have support programs that touch on the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those facing difficult decisions regarding unplanned pregnancies.

Our vision

Our vision is to have a community where every life is sacred, valued and welcomed.

Our mission

Our mission is to minister to the needs of those facing difficult pregnancy decisions with life-affirming alternatives.

Statement of faith

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. II Timothy 3:16-17

  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Galatians 4:4; II Corinthians 13:14; Isaiah 48:16

  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. Colossians 2:9; Luke 1:26-36; I Corinthians 15:3-4

  • We believe that for salvation of lost and sinful man regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential, and that this salvation is received through Faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and not as a result of good works. John 3:16-18; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9

  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and to perform good works. Luke 11:13

  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. I Corinthians 15:3-4

  •  We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:15; II Corinthians 13:11; Philippians 1:27, 2:2; I Peter 3:8

  •  We believe in the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death. Psalm 139:13, 15-16

  • We believe God created and sanctified marriage to bring together men and women, the complementary halves of humanity, by joining them in “one-flesh” unions. Marriage between one man and one woman for life uniquely reflects Christ’s relationship with His church. Genesis 2:18-25; Ephesians 5:21-33

  • We believe God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as either male or female, and these two distinct, complementary sexes together reflect the image and nature of God. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between man and woman who are married to each other. Genesis 1:26-27

  • We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of the purposes and mission of our organization, and to provide a biblical role model to the clients we serve and members and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by the organization in any capacity, or who serves as volunteers, should abide by and agree to this Statement on Marriage, Gender and Sexuality and conduct themselves accordingly.

  • We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with scripture nor the mission of this organization.

We are therefore called to defend, protect and value human life.
